Halloween II DVD is out in stores next week

Halloween II is a sequel to Halloween, Zombie’s violent and vicious remake of the classic 1970s John Carpenter slasher flick of the same name. In this movie, they pick up where the last movie ended. This movie shows the way laurie deals with the aftermath of the events that happened with her last year. Dr. Loomis publishes a book about what happened, and Michael keeps trying to connect with his sister Laurie.. I cant tell you more because it will ruin the movie so you will just have to watch it!
top critics said about this movie, some said it was bad and some said it was good, so i will share some of them with you and the decision is yours!
James Berardinelli says "This one represents Rob Zombie's "vision." That being the case, he's blind."
Kyle Smith from New York Post says "[Halloween II] offers up a rush of fiercely imagined nightmare images."
David Edelstein from New York Magazine says "Zombie isn’t a storyteller, he’s a wallower. And because his movies take place in a culture of violence and sadism, there’s nothing for Michael Myers to do except echo what’s already there and slaughter weaker sadists."
Joe Neumaier from New York Daily News says "Zombie walks the walk, you can't deny it. And he's found the medium where he can let his freak flag fly highest."
here is the trailer as always!

Youth in Revolt in theatres on friday

Youth in Revolt poster. The film, based on the C.D. Payne book, stars Michael Cera, still pretending he's an awkward teenager, as 14-year-old Nick Twisp doing tricks to win the heart of a girl!
Yes! the actor from the movies "Super bad" and "Juno" , Michael Cera, has returned with a quirky dark comedy that offers you an hour and a half of Mike doing what he does best which is making you laugh and showing what a great actor he is! He also shows us that he will always has more up his sleeve to impress us with and show us the real great actor that he will grow up to become. I have to admit, this film could go very wrong without a lot of the stream of consciousness you get in the book, but Cera is great, and if anyone is witty enough to find a way to pull of the character, he definitely fits the category. Looking forward to it and hope it doesn't disappoint me.

wonderful world in theatres on Friday

Wonderful World is a drama film directed and written by Joshua Goldin, who in this movie makes his directorial debut. The film stars Matthew Broderick, Sanaa Lathan, Michael K. Williams and Jodelle Ferland.
One of the most negative people in the world ends up trying to isolate himself! All that is happening when his Senegalese roommate falls into a diabetic coma. When his consummates sister arrives, he falls in love with her, and eventually it changes his way of looking at the world.
mmmm, that movie sounds like a sad story to me! The acting was really bad! You can actually see that in the trailer. Some questions that need answering are, Why can't they get an African accent right? Who said Senegalese people talk like that? Couldn't they get a dialect coach? That movie had a very limited portrayal of different cultures, and it was very stereotypical. The accent was just very awful. To summarize it all, the movie was about a very unrealistic drama, that can never happen.

loss of tear drop diamond in theatres

THE LOSS OF A TEARDROP DIAMOND is a new drama based on a recently rediscovered original screenplay by legendary writer Tennessee Williams. Starring Bryce Dallas Howard and Chris Evans.
A young and rebellious socialite Fisher Willow, tainted by a family scandal, boldly hires farm hand Jimmy Dobyne to be her escort for the elaborate party season. As her passion for Jimmy grows, Fisher defies social convention and the burden of history to risk everything for a chance at real love... until the loss of a priceless diamond sets off a series of accusations and betrayals that threaten to shatter their hopes for the future. With his indelible characters and breathtaking Southern backdrops, Williams paints a heartbreaking tale of seduction and loss.
Since I am not a huge fan of most of the movies like this one, I am not sure whether I will like this one or not. This movie seems to be one of those romance complicated movies that involve love and betrayal, and at the end a great get together. On the other hand, seeing the gorgeous actress Bryce Dallas Howard makes that movie a must see by me, after all having observed the way she acted in movies such as "The Village", "Lady in the Water", and "Spider Man 3", makes me want to see more and more of what that talented actress has. This movie has been released in LA and NY already but did not get a very nice reception.

Leap Year in theatres on Jan 08!

Leap Year is a romantic comedy film directed by Anand Tucker. The movie will star Amy Adams and Matthew Goode as the main characters, Anna and Declan.
When their four-year anniversary passes without a marriage proposal, Anna (Amy Adams) decides to take matters into her own hands. Investing in an Irish tradition that allows women to propose to men on February 29th, Anna decides to follow her boyfriend Jeremy (Adam Scott) to Dublin and get down on one knee herself.

But airplanes, weather and fate leave Anna stranded on the other side of Ireland, and she must enlist the help of handsome and surly Declan (Matthew Goode) to get her across the country. As Anna and Declan bicker across the Emerald Isle, they discover that the road to love can take you to very unexpected places.

Although I am in love with romance comedy genre, I do not expect myself to fall for this one specifically! I have seen this story in many different ways! the girl has a boyfriend she loves him she is about to get married and then she falls for another guy! for heavens sake! Doesn't that remind you somehow with the movie "sleepless in Seattle" or even another movie "Made of Honor"? As usual in that movie, the girl ends up kissing another guy, then she realizes that she likes him more than she like her boyfriend! so at the end when she gets together with her boyfriend, he proposes, but as I expect, she will refuse and she will end up marrying the stranger that changed her life! I really wish to see a movie that has a unique story because there have not been many of them lately.

Daybreakers in theatres on Jan 8th

Daybreakers is a sci-fi vampire film written and directed by Peter and Michael Spierig. The film stars Ethan Hawke, Willem Dafoe and Sam Neill.

It's 2017, and the undead far outnumber the living in this horror film starring Oscar nominee Ethan Hawke (TRAINING DAY). A virus has spread across the earth, turning its inhabitants into vampires. With their blood supply dwindling, the vampires must find a way to sustain their source of food. However, a covert group of vampires makes a remarkable discovery, one which has the power to save the human race.
I think Finally after the releases of tens of vampire movies, a movie comes out with a fresh, nice, unique and terrifying idea! all this comes after the way Vampires have been described in the latest movies such as Twilight, and Circu Du Freak. This movie is a fresh start for the old Vampire Idea and yes it is worth watching!

Crazy on the Outside in theatres January 8th

Crazy on the Outside is a comedy film starring and directed by Tim Allen. This is Allen's first time directing, and is notable for reuniting Allen with co-stars from many of his previous films (Weaver from Galaxy Quest, Liotta from Wild Hogs, Grammer from Toy Story 2 and Bowen from Joe Somebody).
Tommy is fresh out of prison and ready for a second chance in life. Enter his loving sister Vicky, her cynical husband Ed and their family. Tommy moves in with them, and when it comes to explaining to Grandma Tommy’s whereabouts for the last three years, the truth-challenged Vicky has the answer: “He’s been in France!”
Families are crazy, and Tommy's (Allen) is no exception. Fresh out of prison and looking to make a new start, Tommy must juggle his overprotective sister, her cynical husband, their oblivious grandmother, his former partner-in-crime, and his unpredictable ex-girlfriend -- while he finds himself falling for his probation officer, who is also a single mother!
That movie sounds like a very funny movie, and if you want to start a fun weekend I would recommend watching this movie, this movie sounds funny, with a fresh story that I have not seen in other movies yet, I am not so sure about the jokes though, but I can assure you that i will have a better review as soon as the movie comes out.

Bitch Slab coming to theatres

Bitch Slap is an action film directed by Rick Jacobson, and stars Julia Voth, Erin Cummings, America Olivo and Michael Hurst, with cameos by Lucy Lawless, Kevin Sorbo, and Renée O'Connor.

“Bitch Slap” follows three bad girls (a down-and-out stripper, a drug-running killer and a corporate powerbroker) as they arrive at a remote desert hideaway to extort massive booty from a ruthless underworld kingpin.[2] Things quickly spin out of control as allegiances change, truths are revealed, other criminals arrive for the score, the fate of the world hangs in the balance and they are forced to confront a villain much worse than they ever expected… themselves. It’s the ultimate morality tale as, one by one, they realize the whole “she-bang” was a set-up and one of the film’s characters may not even be human.

Personally, I think that this movie is going to be lame. As the trailer suggests, the movie fully relys on three hot girls making some funny comments and getting themselves in some stupid situations. Am I going to watch it? not so sure, but I will try to do so, as always people could be wrong. I really believe that the director should have invented his talent in operating a new Play Boy channel! because the movie as I read seems to be overblown and underwhelming.

Sherlock Holmes in Theatres

Sherlock Holmes is a 2009 film adaptation of Arthur Conan Doyle's fictional character of the same name. The film was directed by Guy Ritchie. the screen play is based on Lionel Wigram's story and Doyle's characters. Robert Downey, Jr. and Jude Law respectively portray Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson.

After finally catching serial killer and occult "sorcerer" Lord Blackwood, legendary sleuth Sherlock Holmes and his assistant Dr. Watson can close yet another successful case. But when Blackwood mysteriously returns from the grave and resumes his killing spree, Holmes must take up the hunt once again. Contending with his partner's new fiancée and the dimwitted head of Scotland Yard, the dauntless detective must unravel the clues that will lead him into a twisted web of murder, deceit, and black magic - and the deadly embrace of temptress Irene Adler.

Personally, I liked this movie a lot, it was a solid, enjoyable film with a fun score, a great use of sound and environment. the actors were great and played their parts extremely well. however on the downside, that movie had a lot of violence, and the Holmes character was more of an action hero, than Doyle ever wanted him to be.
